CM: Milan impressed by Sassuolo sensation – Inter favourites but an attempt cannot be excluded

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan could make an attempt to sign Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori in the coming weeks as the talent continues his rise to stardom.

Raspadori was chosen ahead of Moise Kean by Italian national team boss Roberto Mancini after a solid breakthrough season in which he scored six goals, mostly off the bench, including a match-winning brace at San Siro against Milan back on April 21.

Calciomercato.com writes that the double from Raspadori left a mark on the Milan management who are evaluating the 21-year-old. At the moment he is just an idea as the Rossoneri are moving forward in the negotiations with Oliver Giroud, but an attempt in the coming weeks cannot be ruled out.

Sassuolo know that clubs are gathering and at the moment they are set to reject any offers, as their idea is to keep him for at least another season, but temptations are always around the corner. Inter seem to be the most serious candidate especially in the case they sell Lautaro Martinez, while Marseille and RB Leipzig are keen, though the €15m asking price in January seems to have gone up.
