AC Milan are serious about landing Junior Firpo and are hoping to reach an agreement with the player to strengthen their negotiating position.
According to Calciomercato.com, the Firpo idea was born two weeks ago and has now become a ‘difficult but not impossible’ negotiation, with the management now expected to intensify their discussions with the entourage of the former Betis star.
They can count on excellent relations with Sufiel Abdelkader – the father of Brahim Diaz and representative of Junior Firpo – and Milan plan to reach an agreement with the player before turning their attentions to the Catalan side.
For their part, Barca consider him no longer part of their plans and have dictated the conditions of his exit: he can leave on a paid loan of €1m with an option to buy set at €20m.
Milan consider Firpo, 24, a priority for this second phase of the winter transfer market, but they want to negotiate and as a result the Rossoneri’s idea is to offer €1m for the loan and €15m for the option to buy.
