AC Milan are in line for a nice cash windfall after securing their return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2013-14 campaign.
Calcio e Finanza (via Calciomercato.com) are reporting that a total of €163.8m is guaranteed by UEFA to Inter, Milan, Atalanta and Juventus, the four participants in the 2021-22 Champions League from Serie A.
Juve will have the biggest smile because despite finishing fourth as they will get €51.05m in total divided up into a €15.25m participation bonus, €5.9m from the market pool and €29.9m for historical ranking. The Milanese clubs follow: Inter will earn €44.15m (€15.25m participation bonus, €13.4m market pool and €15.5m historical ranking).
Milan will stop get €42.75m thanks to €10.9m from the market pool and €16.6m of historical ranking, to be added to €15.25m for participation). Atalanta closes with €25.85m with €15.25m participation, market pool of €8.4m and historical ranking of €2.2m.
