AC Milan are one of many teams that are very interested in signing Ivan Fresneda from Real Valladolid but he is not a priority for the Rossoneri at this stage, a report claims.
As has been reported by Calciomercato.com (via Pianeta Milan), Fresneda has been one of the revelations of the season in La Liga and has been crucial for Real Valladolid.
He is an 18-year-old defender who played 22 times in La Liga last season, as well as a couple of Copa del Rey appearances.
He has attracted interest from almost every big team in Europe and along with Milan, the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Arsenal.
Despite the fact that so many good teams are interested, Milan are choosing to keep a close eye on him without pursuing a deal in the near future. It could be that the full-back is already snapped up by another club by the time Milan decide they are interested enough to make a bid.
Right back isn’t priority right now, we got Calabria, Florenzi, and Kalulu that can play there. Only media rumours I think.
Left back needs reinforcement. Right back is the last thing we need to worry about.
Even though we are well covered at right back, I think it’s definitely our weakest position after right winger. Calabria is not good enough at the top level and Florenzi has been destroyed by injuries so he cannot be relied on. Milan has a playing style which benefits greatly from both full backs being able to go back and forth quick and go into the middle of the field to combine with the team. Fresneda could potentially be Theo on our right flank and that would have an instant impact on the team.

Yet there’s still Kalulu & Saelemaekers who can also play that position. And the RB is about the 8th or 9th position that needs improving. Faaaaar more important issues to be fixed before that one.
Yeah, its not a priority position, but if we can maybe sell Saelemakers and Florenzi and replace with this guy, then we would have Calabria and him on the right and Theo with Kalulu covering – and covering across the back line.
