CM: Milan retain interest in winger who could try force Newcastle exit

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan tried to sign Allan Saint-Maximin during the January transfer window and they retain an interest in signing him, a report claims.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Saint-Maximin is considering leaving Newcastle at the end of the season as he no longer seems to have a guaranteed starting spot under Eddie Howe.

He is currently out with a hamstring injury, his second of the season and his third muscle problem of the campaign overall. Despite this, Milan – who had already spoken to his entourage in the January mercato – could try again for the French winger.

There are widespread reports in the Italian media that Milan have decided to move on from Ante Rebic who is currently the back-up to Rafael Leao on the left side.

Saint-Maximin is a younger profile who seems to offer more from an attacking output point of view, while he can also play on the right.

  1. Won’t be going anywhere, he’ll stay at the mighty magpies as we need a stronger squad next year with Europe to deal with more games

  2. Yes a very good player when fit ,and a real handful for defenders ,but that’s not very often as very injury prone ..
So unfortunately not a good signing
