CM: Milan and Juventus monitoring 20-year-old Arsenal midfield talent

Another source are claiming that AC Milan are interested in signing Charlie Patino from Arsenal, but they face competition from rivals Juventus.

Calciomercato.com report that Patino is one of the most talked about profiles on the English scene, as well as one of the names offered to Juventus in recent weeks as a potential option for the future through his entourage.

Patino is a classic box-to-box midfielder but is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder. The England U19 could leave England in January because the Gunners are thinking of recalling him from his loan at Swansea and using him as a counterpart to get Moise Kean, as per English sources.

At the moment there are no confirmations from Juventus, but his name has certainly been in the notebooks of their scouting team for some time, ever since Fabio Paratici was head of the management.

Patino is considered one of the latest diamonds to pass through Hale End academy, home of Arsenal’s youth sector, which saw the likes of Fabregas and Wilshere blossom. Brian Stapleton first saw him when he was 13 and at Luton Town.

“He is the greatest talent I have ever seen. A few minutes were enough for me, I called my responsible and I told him: ‘There’s no point in going back to see him, hurry up. He must be signed immediately, before the others arrive’,” Stapleton revealed.

At Arsenal, he never really had a chance in the first team (only two appearances) so loan spells to Blackpool and Swansea in the Championship were sanctions. His future could be in Italy, because Milan have also been scouting him closely.
