Mateo Retegui has been one of the main candidates to reinforce AC Milan’s attack for quite some time, but as a report states, a recent injury could turn the situation on its head.
As the current forwards have struggled massively with finding the back of the net, Milan have been linked with several strikers over the last few months. From Dusan Vlahovic to Roberto Lewandowski and Retegui, there have been quite a lot of suggestions.

The former Atalanta man, now at Al-Qadsiah, has appeared to be a concrete option despite joining the Saudi Arabian side for a lot of money. Not to mention that he earns a monster salary at the club that no Italian side would be able to match. However, another issue has now emerged.
Injury changes everything
As relayed by Calciomercato.com, Retegui suffered an injury during a game earlier this week, and the test results have now come back: a fractured tibia. It’s now believed that he will be out of action for at least two months as the injury will require surgery.
The season with Al-Qadsiah is definitely over, and he would return in late June at the earliest, which also means that any summer move is at serious risk. Milan and Juventus are both keeping an eye on the situation, as the report continues, but everything is now increasingly complicated.
The Rossoneri had even initiated contacts with his agent to probe the ground for a move, but they might opt not to proceed now.

To good player to be interested in???
Why is retegui even in the conversation ?
Will he be an improvement to what we have? Can he do what nose tape Santi can’t?
If Mateta can pass a medical, he’d be a great option and his value will only increase if he makes the France World Cup squad.
Retegui is part of that mediocre group of national team members…no thanks.
