Two years after joining Arsenal, Lucas Torreira could be on his way out as the hypothesis continues to gather steam. However, despite the rumours during the last year, it looks like his next destination won’t be AC Milan.
According to Calciomercato.com, although the Uruguayan had seemingly reappeared on the Rossoneri’s radar in recent weeks, the club’s plans are very different. In fact, Torreira isn’t considered a priority by the leadership.
Furthermore, given how well Ismael Bennacer has performed this season, it’s difficult to imagine that Milan will start negotiations with Arsenal once again. The two midfielders have similar characteristics and thus other alternatives are being evaluated.
Ralf Rangnick is expected to lead the youth revolution at Milan, hoping to bring the club back to where they belong. Therefore, the German will have a lot of power – especially on the market – and Torreira seemingly isn’t on the manager’s wish list.
