CM: Milan management consider asking owners to sink blow for €25m Arsenal and Inter target

AC Milan are still considering whether to try and make a decisive move for Red Bull Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai, a report claims.

After being heavily linked with an exit over the summer, Szoboszlai has started the 2020-21 season by picking up where he left off last season, amassing five goals and eight assists in 11 games across all competitions.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported earlier this week that the 20-year-old will likely leave the Austrian club as early as January 2021, and that another attempt to sign him by Milan cannot be excluded after two previous negotiations involving Zvone Boban and then Ivan Gazidis.

According to Calciomercato.com, Juventus have been following and admiring him for some time but Milan have twice come close to his purchase.

The Rossoneri are still monitoring Szoboszlai and contacts have remained alive even with sporting director Frederic Massara, who is a big fan of the Hungarian. Competition is high as Inter, Arsenal and some other English and Spanish clubs are keen.

The only way to get him is to pay the €25m release clause after having found an agreement on personal terms, but the management are considering whether to ask Elliott for the go-ahead.
