CM: Milan management hatch plan to land Italy international striker for free

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are still holding on to the idea of signing Andrea Belotti from Torino and have a plan in mind, according to a report.

Milan’s search for a new centre-forward is not expected to end with the imminent arrival of Olivier Giroud, as it must be noted that he and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have a combined age of 74 and therefore a younger presence could serve well.

However, today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Calciomercato.com) suggests that the Rossoneri management are looking beyond the next season and are still intrigued by the idea of signing Torino captain and Italy international Andrea Belotti.

One of the ideas that directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have is to wait until 2022 when il Gallo’s contract will expire with the Granata and therefore he will be allowed to sign for another club on a free transfer. A reinforcement of quality that could arrive for minimum outlay, therefore.

  1. Plan? Waiting to 2022 for his contract to expire is a plan? Great. See someone else signing him in the upcoming 30 days if that is “the plan”.

  2. We have zero $ despite being told all that $ we were going to save not resigning Donnaruma and Hakan would be reinvested in club Lol. We are a joke. So sad

  3. Empty stories and nonsense of journalists. Who will wait, lol. Milan brought 35-year-old grandfather Giroud and like I said this is becoming a ridiculous team, they drove Colhanoglu and Donnarumma away for free, only a madman can do that.
They are buying, attackers of 2 million and age 35 or 40 Giroud and Ibrahimovic, but Ibrahimovic is a great player and Milan suits him, why Giroud ?? I really don’t know, in January I wondered why Mandzukic? And we saw how it went with Mandzukic, we didn’t get anything, so with Giroud it’s just a waste of money. Milan, to be clear, has no money to buy because it would hurt fair play, which could further complicate such a bad situation at the club. I have been rooting for Milan for 40 years and I have watched every game live, but now I am very worried about the situation in Milan, judging by the finances Milan is done with any purchase this year unless they get a player on loan.
