CM: Milan midfielder on the verge of joining Torino – should leave after Samp clash

By Isak Möller -

Tommaso Pobega has played quite a lot for AC Milan this pre-season as Franck Kessie has been on international duty and Ismael Bennacer had Covid-19. However, he won’t stay with the first time this season either.

According to the latest reports from Calciomercato.com, Pobega will travel with the Rossoneri to Genoa for the game against Sampdoria tomorrow. He could even get a few minutes, given Milan’s midfield situation.

However, he’s then expected to complete a loan move to Torino as Milan want him to continue his development. If he stays, he might not get enough playing time and that would be bad for the Rossoneri as well.

Tiemoue Bakayoko is seemingly closing in on a return to Milan and once Franck Kessie is back, that should mean that the midfield is more or less complete. Then again, anything can happen on the market and we will have to wait and see.

  1. What negative has Pobega done this preseason? None. All he’s done is work hard, play well, and show that he is already close to being able to play in a 2 man mid with the short time he’s had yet we want to send him away for bakayoko… ok. Also, why not both? We need the depth. Lord Krunic should go, not Pobega.

    1. On the contrary, he should go out on loan to play regularly to develop further instead of forcing him to play rarely in a different position which is not suited to his playing style.

      This is the right decision.

    2. You don’t leave a young player for “depth” and to play 5-10 matches in a season. You leave Krunic, how can cover multiple positions as the 3rd option. “Lord Krunic” is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard, you can’t just steal the title and give it to all the players you don’t like, you simple idiot.
