CM: Milan on a mission in London to reinforce the defence – their targets

By Isak Möller -

One of AC Milan’s priorities in January will be to strengthen the defence, following Pierre Kalulu’s injury. They have identified three targets for the position, as a report claims, and all three currently play in London.

Kalulu has been ruled out for the next four months, forcing the Rossoneri to act on the upcoming mercato. Having Simon Kjaer as the only backup won’t cut it and that’s why technical director Geoffrey Moncada has identified several targets already.

According to Calciomercato.com, Jakub Kiwior appears to be the primary target and Milan have already probed the ground with Arsenal. The Gunners didn’t open to the loan hypothesis but the Rossoneri are expected to make a new attempt, ready to offer a paid loan with an option to buy.

In addition to the Polish international, Milan are also keeping a close eye on Chelsea’s Benoit Badiashile. However, since he was a rather expensive signing for the Stamford Bridge side, they might not be willing to loan him out.

The Frenchman’s teammate and compatriot, Malang Sarr, is more likely to leave the club and Milan are also monitoring his situation. The 24-year-old has been linked with the Rossoneri before and now could be the perfect time for the move.
