AC Milan are interested in signing Cade Cowell who continues to impress for the San Jose Earthquakes in Major League Soccer, a report claims.
The 19-year-old winger is attracting attention after a 2022 MLS season in which he amassed six goal contributions (three goals, three assists) in 31 games. The Quakes opened their 2023 campaign with a 2-1 loss to Atlanta United in which Thiago Almade scored in the 93rd and 99th minute.
Calciomercato.com report that Cowell is a profile destined to make the leap to Europe at some point and according to one of his old coaches at the San José Earthquakes -the former Inter, Parma and Lazio player Matias Almeyda – the teenager has the physical and mental qualities to make it.
Cowell’s is not a story like any other: in order to try achieve his dream he chose to live in the house of one of the managers of the Quakes youth sector, who welcomed and raised him as if he were a son.
For the moment he continues his growth in California but his name is on Milan’s notebook, with the American ownership perhaps looking to add some talent from their homeland.
