CM: Milan most concrete hypothesis as Sassuolo want over €30m for Frattesi

Davide Frattesi has ended up on the radar of AC Milan and the interest has seemingly increased with the imminent departure of Sandro Tonali. In fact, the Rossoneri are now the frontrunners, a report claims.

Inter have been interested in Frattesi for a very long time and looked to be in pole position heading into the summer. However, Milan’s sale of Tonali to Newcastle (for around €80m) and the Nerazzurri’s lack of cash have changed the race.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan is now the most concrete hypothesis for Frattesi, with a meeting scheduled between the Rossoneri and the midfielder’s agent Beppe Riso. The latter is also the agent of Tonali, which is a plus for Giorgio Furlani and co.

Sassuolo’s price tag for Frattesi is set between €30-40m and it remains to be seen how much Milan are willing to spend on the 23-year-old. In any case, the Rossoneri’s interest is concrete and could be accelerated once Tonali’s exit is official.

    1. Yep. If Frattesi wants AC Milan then it will already be known and in motion along with the Tonali sale considering Riso manages both. The only question is finding a fee that Sassuolo accept. If it doesn’t happen right away after that, then Milan should look elsewhere because Frattesi does not truly want to come. Do not wait around and wait for him to decide Milan are good enough if no other offers come in. This is one that either happens quickly after Tonali leaves or Milan must move on.

  1. What if we rrally get Frattesi and he flops after spending 35 millions on him? Will Furlani and Moncada get axed? Like Maldini and Massara for CdK?

  2. Sounds like Brozovic to Saudi Arabia is close to done, so I think there’s a big chance he’s going to Inter. Hopefully not, because starting looking for midfielders from zero in July is not a good position to be in

      1. Exactly, which is why in my previous comment above I said this is not something that Milan should spend time waiting on. He already stated that he is leaving Sassuolo but wants to stay in Italy. He is going to be offered the chance to walk in to the starting 11 at AC Milan. If he doesn’t snap Moncada’s hand off to take the deal and sign for Milan, then we move on. Simple as that.

  3. Sassuolo: (wolfish grin) Yeah, Milan have cash to splash. Tell them we sell Frattesi for $50m. Let them negotiate. We drag it on for a bit and settle for $40m.

  4. Watch him join Inter and us spending whole summer patching up our midfield with some Dutch or French versions of Krunic. Instead of finding replacement for Bennacer and further improve our midfield and bench, they sold Tonali. Now we’re left only with Krunic and Pobega.
