CM: Milan offered 25-year-old Cagliari midfield star during meeting with agent

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign a Cagliari midfielder during talks with his agent, according to a report.

On Tuesday, agent Pietro Chiodi was spotted entering Casa Milan and many presumed it would be for talks regarding one of his clients in Milan goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu. However, according to the latest from Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, there were other topics discussed during the meeting.

The journalist reports that Milan were offered Razvan Marin of Cagliari during the talks, who plays as a central midfielder and racked up 3 goals and 6 assists in 37 Serie A appearances for the Sardinian side last season.

Marin began his career with local side Viitorul Constanța at the age of 17 and established himself as a first-team regular before earning a move to Belgian club Standard Liege at the start of 2017. He then went to Eredivisie giants Ajax for a reported fee of €12.5m (via Wikipedia) in 2019, and left for Cagliari on loan the following year and permanently in January 2021 on a five-year deal.
