CM: Milan want to strengthen in five positions with versatile €35m forward targeted

AC Milan are working on their summer transfer window already and they are expected to resume talks over Noah Okafor, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan’s priorities are to sign a left-back, two midfielders, a forward (winger/playmaker) and a striker. Daichi Kamada and Ruben Loftus-Cheek are two targets, while new talks with Okafor’s entourage are expected.

The Swiss international has chosen to leave Salzburg after saying no to the extension of his contract expiring on 30 June 2024. He has an EU passport and has a salary that falls within the Rossoneri’s economic parameters, and his asking price could drop from €35m.

That is because Okafor has had subdued second part of the season, in contrast to a dazzling start to 2022-23. He has not scored a league goal in 2023 and his season finished in mid-April due to a fractured metatarsal in his right foot remedied in the match against LASK Linz.

Okafor is working to recover from the injury and awaits a call from his agents. In addition to Milan – who appreciate him for his ability to play as a winger and as a No.9 – he is liked by Napoli, Aston Villa and Liverpool.
