CM: Milan raise offer to Calhanoglu as extension moves closer – the latest updates

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have raised their offer to playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu and are now closer to sealing the renewal of his contract, a report claims

Sky Italia (via MilanNews) reported last night Calhanoglu was at Casa Milan on Tuesday. They added that there have been fruitful talks in the last hours and days with the management trio consisting of Paolo Maldini, Ricky Massara and Ivan Gazidis himself.

According to Calciomercato.com, in the meeting there was no talk of figures, but the player reiterated his desire to stay at Milan and find a solution to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the season.

There is still no definitive agreement on the amounts, but Calhanoglu’s desire to stay is echoed by Milan’s opening to raise their bid at least using variables. They have offered a fixed amount of €3.8-3.9m net per season plus easily reachable bonuses. Now, the parties are working to find the right way to bridge the distances.

  1. This is great news…now Let’s tie Donnarrumma and Get Tomori permanently…I think extending Brahim’s loan and buying him permanently in 2022 is paramount. We need to sell Krunic as well and buy Svanberg or Schouten of Bologna
