CM: Milan reach agreement in principle with Giroud – striker wants Rossoneri over West Ham

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Olivier Giroud in principle over a contract but some details must be resolved, a report claims.

It has been well documented that the Rossoneri are in the market for a new centre-forward to replace the outgoing Mario Mandzukic, but one who can offer more guarantees from a physical point of view as well as offering valuable experience to impart onto the younger players.

According to Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, there is already an agreement in principle between Giroud and Milan and some details need to be fixed before it is a done deal. There will be a meeting either at the end of this week or at the beginning of next week.

The timing has lengthened slightly as the Rossoneri management were busy sorting out the permanent signing of Fikayo Tomori. Giroud has offers from West Ham and New York City, but his priority is to join Milan.
