AC Milan are ready to challenge Atalanta for one of their targets in the upcoming transfer window, according to a report.
As Calciomercato.com notes, Atalanta are keeping an eye on Lyon’s Abdallah Nouri – a midfielder who at just 16 has already been offered a professional contract.
However, despite his inexperience and his young age, the boy seems to have already intended to leave his family and move driven by his entourage, skeptical due to the short duration of the contract proposed by the French club and unconvinced of his opportunities.
Atalanta are keen to make him a big part of their future plans, but Ivan Gazidis wants to hijack the move. The Milan CEO is eager to copy the strategy of La Dea by signing the young playmaker and letting him develop at Milan, hopefully into a future star which will reflect well on the club’s balance books.
L’Equipe also believe that Espanyol are keen, in addition to Milan and Atalanta.
