CM: Milan ready to offer two-year extension to defender who is considered a leader

AC Milan are working on completing the squad in the the transfer market but they are also considering some renewals too, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com reports how the Rossoneri management know they have a key player in their hands for the dressing room and for team balance in Simon Kjaer, who is coming off the back of potentially the best season of his career and a memorable campaign at the Euros.

The management are ready to satisfy the Dane’s requests in order to keep a defender who has become a leader of the team, but has a contract expiring in June 2022. The discussions are slowly materialising and soon the player and his agent will have a renewal offer to consider.

The initial idea was to extend for another season, but in the end Milan are moving towards a two-year contract renewal with a new expiration date of 30 June 2024. With no major problems on the horizon, Kjaer will remain one of the leaders of Milan.
