AC Milan are still looking at possible options domestically to strengthen their midfield department, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com have taken stock of Milan’s hunt for a new central midfielder to compliment the two starters Franck Kessie and Ismael Bennacer plus the returning Sandro Tonali, presuming his permanent deal does go through.

One of the players on the Rossoneri’s radar is Jerdy Schouten of Bologna, but the Rossoblu strongly believe in the Dutchman after he had an impressive and they have put him at the centre of Sinisa Mihajlovic’s project.

The 24-year-old’s contract runs until June 2024 and that is why the Bolognese are asking for €15m to let him leave in the upcoming mercato, after having bought him for just over €2m. The midfielder made 34 appearances during the 2020-21 season scoring a goal, and during the campaign he has shown that he could be ready for the leap to a top club.
