CM: Milan resume Tanganga talks but work is needed as Spurs demand €25m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have resumed contacts over the potential signing of Japhet Tanganga from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com confirm that Milan are looking for a central defender that can replace Alessio Romagnoli, who moved to Lazio on a free transfer. After the slowdown in negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain over Abdou Diallo who was not convinced about joining Milan, Tanganga is back in vogue.

Contacts between the Milan management and Spurs have restarted, and the fact Tanganga did not even play a single minute of their win over Wolverhampton yesterday says a lot about his position in the hierarchies.

Milan have reiterated their interest in Tanganga, but Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are not willing to agree to Spurs’ idea of a loan with the obligation to buy set at €25m.

The idea is to close a Tomori-style operation (a loan with option to buy) and while there is distance at the moment new contacts are expected in the coming days, and Fabio Paratici could return to Italy.
