CM: Milan management must rethink as primary No.9 target David struggles

Jonathan David has been on AC Milan’s radar for quite some time and it has previously been reported that he’s the primary target for the No.9 role. However, as a report highlights, the Rossoneri probably need to rethink their choice.

Luka Jovic has been a huge disappointment for Milan this season, failing to find the back of the net and putting in poor performances. Olivier Giroud, meanwhile, is getting older and clearly needs more rest between the games.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Milan’s attack is certainly in a crisis but the same can be said for their primary target Jonathan David. He hasn’t scored in Ligue 1 since August 27 and in the last two games for Lille, he has played just 19 minutes.

David is not the answer to Milan’s attacking struggles and something else will need to change, tactically speaking. It remains to be seen if Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada will try to sign a striker in January, seeing as the defence is the priority right now.
