CM: Milan send first offer for Dalot – Man Utd’s stance and the asking price outlined

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made a first offer to Manchester United in a bid to try and keep Diogo Dalot, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com journalist Daniele Longo is reporting that Milan have sent their first proposal to Manchester United to try and secure Dalot for at least another season, and there is no surprise that it is a loan with option to buy deal.

He mentions how the Red Devils would rather the loan have an obligation to buy inserted instead so they are guaranteed to monetise, but Milan have ‘no intention’ of agreeing to such a formula. However, United ‘could accept a discount on the initial €18m asking price’ as €16m plus €2m in bonuses might be enough to close the operation.

After it seemed almost certain that Dalot’s spell in Italy would just be one season long, it appears there is now an opening from both parties.
