CM: Milan serious about landing Ilicic and set aside budget to complete the operation

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have decided on the amount that they would like to pay in transfer fee for Josip Ilicic as the links continue to gather steam, a report claims.

Di Marzio reported earlier in the week how Milan have taken a shine to Ilicic, and then added that even with the renewal of Hakan Calhanoglu, Milan are seriously interested in the playmaker.

Last night, the same journalist told Sky Italia (via MilanNews) that Ilicic would like to leave Atalanta in order to join a big club, and that his agent is talking to Milan who want to understand the player’s exit conditions and the asking price of Atalanta.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are indeed carefully monitoring Ilicic’s situation and the Rossoneri management have even set the amount they would like to spend to complete the operation. Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara would like to repeat the operation completed by Sevilla for Papu Gomez or with an outlay of between €4-6m, meaning this is the budget currently allocated for the coup.
