CM: Milan set minimum amount to sit at negotiating table with PSG for Bennacer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made their stance on midfielder Ismael Bennacer clear amid reports of interest from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

That is according to Calciomercato.com, who reference the report from Le10Sport on Saturday which claimed that the Ligue 1 giants have set their sights on Bennacer, arguably Milan’s most impressive midfield signing in recent years.

The outlet notes how Bennacer’s name is not a new one for PSG sporting director Leonardo, as before leaving Milan in May of last year had set his eyes on the then-Empoli starlet.

Now his profile is back in fashion in view of the mini-revolution in midfield that PSG intends to carry out in the summer. Ander Herrera, Leandro Paredes, Julian Draxler and the young Adil Aouchiche could all leave, which means reinforcements would be sorely needed.

The interest in the Algeria international is real, but Elliott’s intention is to focus on the 22-year-old for the future. His good performances have doubled his valuation too: Bennacer arrived for €16million from Empoli and is now valued at no less than €30million.

No offer has yet been delivered, but €30m will be the minimum amount to sit at the negotiating table, and even that doesn’t have to be enough to convince Milan.
