CM: Patience and two counterparts – Milan’s strategy to land €45-50m target

It goes without saying that Joshua Zirkzee’s name will continue to be mentioned in view of the summer transfer window, and AC Milan intend to make a concrete attempt to land him.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan know that to land Zirkzee it will take a perfect strategy and a sizeable economic package too. This is why the management are already preparing their offer to send, while concrete negotiations will begin in May and June.

Fourth place is within reach for Bologna and that is an opportunity for them to try and seize without any harmful distractions, which is why the Rossoneri will be patient.

Nonetheless, Zirkzee’s stock is rising with every game and thus so is his asking price, which is already around €45-50m and could go up even more if he finishes the season with a flurry of goals.

He has an instinct for scoring goals, the ability to create chances and the potential to grow given he is just 22, characteristics that have convinced Milan to put the Dutchman at the top of their list of preferences.

Geoffrey Moncada would like to insert a couple of counterparts to bring down the cash sum required. Alexis Saelemaekers is one, given he is at Bologna on loan with an option to buy, and Lorenzo Colombo is likely to be offered up too with a €15m valuation.
