Olivier Giroud’s renewal has not changed AC Milan’s plans: they will sign a new centre forward during the summer transfer window.
As Calciomercato.com write, the news of Olivier Giroud’s one-year renewal is certainly a sign of continuity for Milan who do not want to lose the most important players in the squad, but he will turn 37 this year and it is no longer fair to rely on him in every game.
The management are aware that a new No.9 is needed and it is a purchase they must get right, which is why a lot of planning is needed and care must be taken from an economic point of view.
That is because a large part of the summer budget will be allocated to a young striker, so Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are at work to find a double-digit scorer at a reasonable cost who also has room to grow.
Folarin Balogun – on loan at Reims from Arsenal – is among the favourite options, while Mateo Retegui of Tigre also remains on the list even if Eintracht Frankfurt seem to have made great strides.
The other names being monitored are Lois Openda of RC Lens, Gianluca Scamacca of West Ham United and Joao Pedro of Watford.
All they are Ideal except Gianluca Scamacca
Scamacca is also a good ideal, he just needs to get back his form.
Still 1000x better than Origi! 😀
