CM: Milan in talks with agent Zahavi over Dutch talent – the strategy

AC Milan are in talks over a signing to bolster the Milan Futuro ranks as Silvano Vos of Ajax has ended up on their radar, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, the idea of the management is to make a ‘significant investment’ in a player who has great room for growth and can give a hand to Daniele Bonera right away but who is also ready to move up the ladder and join the first team under Paulo Fonseca.

Milan began with a ‘well-structured offensive’ for Vos but are ‘now in a phase of reflection’ after Ajax asked for €9m in order to sell the 19-year-old, even if they did express a willingness to part with him.

This amount is deemed too high for a player who has made his debut and scored in the Europa League but who still has more appearances in the U23s than the senior team.

Pini Zahavi – one of the most powerful agents in the world – is Vos’ representative. Milan, at this stage, are finalising an agreement with him while waiting for Ajax to soften their stance. At €9m the deal will not happen, but by agreeing terms they hope the Amsterdam club will lower their demands too.
