CM: Milan planning two investments in the January window – the roles and names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s squad is not considered complete by the management and Geoffrey Moncada is already planning the next moves, a report claims.

Calciomercato.com write how Milan’s latest negative results have highlighted the shortcomings of a squad that is certainly deeper and qualitatively superior to that of last season but still incomplete.

Moncada and ANtonio D’Ottavio worked methodically and knowledgeably to lay a strong foundation to be completed in subsequent transfer windows, with a clear idea on the next steps to take.

The squad lacks a quality alternative to Theo Hernández, which is why Juan Miranda has become a priority target. Milan will try to anticipate the competition from Barcelona as early as January by offering €3-4m for a player whose deal expires at the end of the season.

An attempt will also be made for Jonathan David as early as the winter mercato, given the Canadian striker is considered an important profile for the present and the future.

Lille, at the moment, are not so convinced about letting their jewel leave during the current season. This is why a new attack for Mehdi Taremi cannot be ruled out, and he also has an expiring contract.

    1. Listen. It is not going to happen unless something horrible happening — like we are out of top 4. Any big name will demand investments and any small name we dont need. We already had dozen of years of useless coach experiments that brought nothing despite heavy investment. Qe have to live with what we have now.

    2. And who want to coach in this mid season ? Conte already refuse and only want after new season begin. Zidane waiting chance for french NT coach, hansi flick need heavy investment and that can only do with summer market not winter market. The rest just mediocre coach like pirlo, gattuso, giampaolo, potter, lampard, ole gunnar and their quality below pioli. De zerbi ? You cannot take other club coach easily in mid season like this

  1. Milan should go for Hansi Flick in January to replace Pioli. Hansi Flick won the UCL title and the treble with Bayern Munich.

Then they should also sign Guirassy who has a release clause of 17m.

He’s the best striker in Europe right now and he has already scored 14 league goals so far this season.

      1. Yes Milan job is a pretty big one,and one of the best that doesn’t have a manager who is locked in for a couple years. Other clubs that could get him are Madrid,Napoli and maybe man utd

      2. @Sherzod. Milan is a big club and Hansi Flick is not earning the same salary as Pep Guardiola or Klopp.

Flick would take a project like Milan because he’s good with young players and we are challenging for the title and playing UCL football.

  2. Taremi is not coming, forget about him.

He is 31, does not suit U-25 policy scheme. He already messed up summer move. He is on a decline, with just 2 goals in 12 games.

  3. Pioli is just daft is not bother we the fans come to San Siro to watch match expecting Milan to win all of a sudden we loose I was highly annoyed when PSG disgrace Acmilan 3-0 a whole big Acmilan of champions league because of a coach stupidity now look at this analysis this season with 4-3-3 we loosed to intermilan 5-1 to Juventus 1-0 now to PSG 3-0 so if we meet Newcastle that defeat PSG 4-1 may be it will be 6-0 Acmilan coach is a bunch of disappointment better Pioli change this formation before things become worst

  4. January transfer we need Guler or Diaz with Jonathan Divid only we don’t need defender we have pellegraino,Kjaer, simic, Hernandez, Bartasaghi, Calabria, kalulu sell tomori and thiaw they are our problems in defence they don’t have experience imagine tomori don’t know to mark an attacker I have watch Kjaer watch tomori Kjaer is more than the best over ratted senior defender with experience we can rely on him with kalulu they are the best

  5. We literally just signed 2 strikers in the summer and loaned out a third (in Colombo plus there’s another two) and we’re already planning on signing a new one just a few months later?

And what about Bartesaghi and Pellegrino?

    What’s the point of them?

What’s the point of any of this?

Here’s an idea. Give me the money.

I mean if we are going to blow money randomly on players then I can save them the bother.

Give me the money and it will be as if not more beneficial to Milan because it will mean we will have left the squad alone for more than 5 mins…..

      1. Well what is Jović?

        What is Okafor?

        What is Colombo?

        What are these?

Items of cheap clothing that that you chuck out after a few months when you change taste?

Or are they elite athletes playing at the highest levels imaginable?

How does any of this give the impression of a well managed, long term, strategic plan?

I’ve said before by the time Camarda comes through we’ll have been through at least 10 strikers. We’ve got 6 or more strikers on our books as it is.

It’s an absolute farce. But everyone seems to think it’s normal. More transfers please.

  6. Do you guys see the match Galatasaray vs Bayern Munich..ohh man I love the way Gala pressing the and move the ball very2 awesome.i wish Milan playing like that..
