CM: Milan targeting Bordeaux midfielder due to tactical versatility with assessments underway

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have targeted Yacine Adli of Bordeaux and will soon make a decision on whether to launch a bid, according to a report.

According to Calciomercato.com, there is an interest from Milan in Adli and they have initiated contacts with the player’s agent. In the next few hours they will decide whether to present or not an official offer, but it will not be easy because Bordeaux want over €10m plus a percentage on any future resale.

For this reason Milan are making all the necessary assessments before moving, but Adli is a profile admired for his versatility given he can play as an attacking midfielder or further back. He has willingly adapted to play in the double pivot of a 4-2-3-1 or in the middle of a 4-4-2. In fact, against Lille, PSG and Lyon he accompanied Basic in front of the defence.

Adli would be a deputy to Ismael Bennacer in Milan’s plans, but at the same time it would also guarantee Pioli the possibility of changing formations if needed, plus an extra option for the trequartista role.
