AC Milan are pushing ahead in talks with Olivier Giroud and believe they can beat the competition, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com writes that Maldini and Massara have the firm intention of reaching a full agreement with Giroud soon having already talked to the entourage of the centre-forward, who became European champion with Chelsea last week. Giroud has already found an agreement in principle with the Rossoneri and is looking for a house in Milan, but nothing has yet been signed.
The 34-year-old has two other offers in hand: one from Chelsea’s London rivals West Ham and New York City FC in MLS. Giroud has given his priority to Milan, who want him as the ideal deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic for next season, and now the Rossoneri are ready to accelerate.
Maldini and Massara will meet again with the striker’s representatives to work out the details having focused on other operations recently like Tomori and Tonali. Now, the white smoke with Giroud is expected soon.
