CM: Milan to go ‘all-in’ for Frattesi – Pioli and the player give the green light

AC Milan are ready to go ‘all-in’ for Davide Frattesi who Stefano Pioli wants to replace Sandro Tonali, according to a report.

Daniele Longo’s latest for Calciomercato.com confirms that Pioli has approved of the potential arrival of Frattesi, and in recent contacts with his agent Beppe Riso the Rossoneri learned that the player would give the green light too.

In the next few hours, Tonali will carry out his medical ahead of his move to Newcastle United while with Italy’s U21 side in Romania. Once his transfer is completed, Milan will officially start the mission to bring Frattesi in.

Sassuolo’s Giovanni Carnevali is ‘rejoicing’ because the ideal situation has emerged in which Milan, Juventus and Inter are in the running for Frattesi.

However, the Rossoneri have clear ideas: the 23-year-old is a concrete target but the right conditions are needed. The current €40m fee is considered too much and will have to be negotiated, perhaps by including some counterparts.

  1. Sassoulo wont lower that price because Roma still have 30% from frattesi. But ACM can ask loan with obligation to buy

    1. Exactly. If all these information is true, Sassuolo might even increase the price, they are in a perfect spot in this situation. In this case, (it seems) we don’t even have the player’s will on our side.
And let’s not forget also the big downside of these big sales (like Tonali’s): people know you have money AND you are in need. Part of Tonali’s money will go to inevitable overspending – one way or another.

  2. There are plenty of other optiions out there for that money. We went through this last time with De Katelar and frankly now we see that it’s not worth pushing, when you can find other players for less.

Need I remind everyone how much we paiid for Tonali?

    1. Don’t forget the will of the player is very important. A club may prefer to sell to the highest bidder but the player has to be acquiesce to the transfer.
Tonali’s transfer to Inter was almost done until Milan stepped in.

  3. yeah but 40 M for a player like him is a joke..if moncada is really that good, surely he has many alternatives beside frattesi

  5. Apparently Tonali rejected Newcastle at first. I suspect he was told the club were going to accept the offer and at that point his morale fell through the floor. When the club you love betrays you where do you go…

    1. 80mil is an absurd amount of money to pass up on, especially by RedBird. Galliani would have done the same under Silvio. Most expensive Italian transfer, and given how well Milan sold under Maldini, yeah…. This was always gonna go through.

Hurts to see him go. But always, FORZA MILAN ⚫️🔴

  6. I hope we do get him, but, I’m in doubt. I don’t see Milan spending so much of Tonali’s money on just one player. I pray we don’t end up buying a player of lesser quality. These guys aren’t giving any signals that they want to spend.

  7. Not worth 40. We will move on to different targets, and he will go to Juve at the end of mercato on something like 10+15 formula 3 years loan with obligation
