In the decisive stretch of the season AC Milan’s strength became their defence, and the management want to reward two key members of the rearguard.
Calciomercato.com report that Milan are looking to sign a new centre-back – with Gleison Bremer and Sven Botman on the wish list – but they are also looking to reward the current starting pairing of Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu. Both were sensational in the final 11 games of the season during which the team conceded just 2 goals in 11 games with 9 clean sheets.
The Englishman was bought from Chelsea for €29m last summer after six months on loan and now he is expected to extend by two seasons, until 2027, with a salary that should increase from €2m net per season to €3m plus bonuses.
Kalulu meanwhile could renew until 2026 or 2027 (his deal currently expires in 2025), with a pay rise from the current figure of around €600k to €1.5m net per year. A meeting at the end of the season with his agents served revealed the mutual desire to continue together, and soon things should be made official.
