CM: Milan to rival Napoli and Roma in pursuit of Empoli starlet – the details

By Isak Möller -

A transfer market for the present and future. In addition to reinforcing the squad for next season, AC Milan are also working to secure the biggest talents available, aiming to lower the average age of the squad.

One of these talents is Samuel Ricci, who has been a protagonist with the Empoli shirt this season, despite being just 18-years-old. In his first season as a professional, he has registered a total of 22 appearances between Serie B and Coppa Italia.

Ricci can play both as a deep-lying midfielder and a mezz’ala. Although he needs more time to grow, the path is certainly the right one. According to Calciomercato.com, in addition to Milan, Napoli and Roma are also interested in the midfielder.

The Rossoneri have recently dealt with Empoli, signing Rade Krunic and Ismael Bennacer last summer. However, an important offer is needed, and president Fabrizio Corsi hinted that he’s in no hurry to sell the youngster (via Calciomercato.com).

“He still has great margins, both from a physical and tactical point of view. The important thing is that he keeps the right balance because the rumours might not be good for him. We have the tools to make him even better,” he stated.
