CM: Milan too much for Torino to handle – several new signings impress

AC Milan had simply too much for Torino last night as they romped to a 4-1 win in front of a sell-out crowd at San Siro.

Calciomercato.com write that Milan followed up their debut win against Bologna with an excellent performance, meaning Ivan Juric’s team never gave the impression of being able to snatch at least a draw, not even when they made it 1-1.

There were a couple of controversial incidents involving VAR, the first one being a penalty for a handball that might be judged as harsh by some, while the one on Rafael Leao did show a clear stamp, but Torino cannot use refereeing decisions as alibis.

Instead, the 4-1 score accurately reflects the clear superiority of the Rossoneri and there were more positive signs from Tijjani Reijnders plus Christian Pulisic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek who both arrived from Chelsea.

Before talking again about a Milan worthy of the Scudetto we must wait for them to meet stronger opponents – against whom Tomori and above all Thiaw – will have to avoid making errors.

With half an hour to go, Pioli gave a San Siro debut to three new signings: Yunus Musah, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze, sparing Loftus-Cheek and Giroud. On Friday evening against Roma, further proof is needed that this Milan side are for real.
