CM: Milan very satisfied with performances and leadership from centre-back – new deal possible

By Oliver Fisher -

It cannot be excluded that AC Milan table a new deal to centre-back Simon Kjaer after another impressive season, a report claims.

The Danish international arrived on loan from Sevilla in January 2020 after a difficult first half of the season with Atalanta where he barely played, and since joining the Rossoneri he has been a virtually immovable member of the starting line-up.

Kjaer has made 35 appearances across all competitions for Milan showing just how important he has become under head coach Stefano Pioli, but it is worth remembering that he is currently under contract until 2022.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are very satisfied with Simon Kjaer’s performances and in particular the leadership skills that the Denmark international has shown since his arrival last year. Therefore, it cannot be excluded that the renewal of his contract for another season will arrive at the end of the current campaign, extending the deadline to 2023.

  1. Kajer is a good backup . Cant rely on him and play regularly as starting eleven. At the end Milan will extend contracts for old players and young will just not renew and leave for free to bigger teams
