CM: Milan vigilant on three players as Chelsea losses could force sales

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are closely monitoring the situation of three Chelsea players ahead of the summer. The London side could be forced to make sales due to high losses and the Rossoneri are vigilant, a report claims.

As highlighted by The Times a few days ago, Chelsea have recorded significant losses and will need to make a significant profit on player sales to avoid breaching Premier League and FFP rules (in case of qualification).

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are especially interested in the midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek. He has been linked with the Rossoneri for quite some time and Chelsea are hoping to cash in €25m, but the circumstances could lower the price tag a little.

In addition to the Englishman, Milan have been linked with both Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech in the past and remain interested in them. Roma are also keeping tabs on both of these and could rival the Rossoneri.

Given that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara won’t have a big budget, Chelsea’s situation could be perfect for them.

  1. No to ruben and pulisic. We can buy carney for double pivot and ziyech for RW . Chelsea are forced to sell , so we can get both for cut price deal

  2. Ziyech would be an upgrade for our RW and Kovacic is a solid mid, but I doubt Milan will meet their high salary demands. Let’s face it, it will be a few years before we can afford to buy established star players. We need to eliminate our deficit and build the new stadium first.

  3. The problem here is the wages. Chelsea squad players are on £7.5m a year, Loftus-cheek and Barkley for example. We are offering Leao only £6.5m to resign. We can’t afford their wages unless either they take a massive pay cut, or Chelsea pay them a lump sum to leave, or the price is low enough that we pay them a lump sum to join.

    1. He’s a good player, and is probably the exception to a lot of other players. His wages should be ok, but he is £40m plus. Problem is he’s linked to Newcastle who will simply offer him double the wages.

I dont think there’s any point trying to compete with Prem clubs or buy from the Prem anymore.
