CM: Milan want an Italian deputy for Theo Hernandez – one wildcard

AC Milan are looking to bring in a new deputy left-back in the summer as Fode Ballo-Toure has failed to impress the management. This time out, the Rossoneri will sign an Italian, a report claims.

Ballo-Toure joined the club for Monaco for around €4m but he has never really impressed on the pitch. This evening, he will play from start as Theo Hernandez has the flu and that has highlighted the weakness in the team.

According to Calciomercato.com, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are working on signing a new deputy left-back. In fact, they are targeting a couple of Italians as that will be very beneficial for the Champions League squad list.

The two names on their list, as things stand, are Antonino Gallo (23, Lecce) and Emanuele Valeri (24, Cremonese). However, they are yet to fully convince Milan and that’s why the solution could be another.

Andrea Bozzolan, the 19-year-old Primavera star, has impressed under Ignazio Abate’s management and he could be promoted to the first team. That would be the so-called wildcard solution.
