CM: Milan want to secure long-term future of star by doubling salary after PSG snub

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan do not only have the renewal of Franck Kessie on their agenda as they look to keep their core of young stars in place, a report claims.

According to Calciomercato.com, Theo Hernandez is on the list of players that they want to try and secure a long-term commitment from, even if he only joined in 2019 and has a contract until 2024. He has returned to Milan in better shape than ever and has had an excellent preseason which shows that the 23-year-old is fully prepared for the new campaign.

The Rossoneri and the player have already repelled PSG’s assaults as they consider him to be non-transferable, and the common will is to continue the adventure together that began two years ago.

Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have the opportunity to work calmly on the extension of his contract to focus on the most urgent issues such as signings and the renewal of Kessie, but in their mind is the extension of the Frenchman’s deal plus a pay rise from the current €1.5m net per season.

The intention is to double this figure, an offer that can convince the player and lock his future.
