AC Milan are keeping an eye on developments at Chelsea as it seems they have decided to focus on signing Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com cite a report from Bild in stating that shortly before the closing of the summer window, Nkunku underwent a medical check-up near Frankfurt ahead of a move to Chelsea next summer.
It is a development that also closely affects Milan because it would represent a big investment for the London club in the area of the pitch covered by Rafael Leao and if the indiscretion from Germany were to be confirmed then it would mean that the Rossoneri management can negotiate his renewal with more calm.
Of course, it will still be necessary to agree on salary with Leao and also the compensation issue involving Sporting CP. Chelsea’s move could take some pressure off Milan, even if Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City remain at the window.
Watching closely for what? Give him a stadiumtour?
Nkuku plays in the same position as Leao which should be a bit of a relief for Milan when negotiating his new contract.
And you think that it’s only Chelsea that wants Leao?
Milan is playing with fire again.
We lost Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic and went 10 years without any trophy, we are at it again with Leao.
