CM: Milan will assess Calhanoglu’s condition during the day as Roma clash awaits

By Isak Möller -

Hakan Calhanoglu missed Milan’s game against Celtic on Thursday evening, out with an injury. The Turk has been very important for the team in the post-lockdown period and he’s working hard to recover.

Earlier this week, he sprained his ankle in training and the initial reports suggested that he would be out for 7-10 days. However, Milan are trying to recover him in record time, hopeful that he can at least be included in the squad tomorrow.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, the midfielder’s condition will be assessed during the day to understand if he can make the squad. The ankle has recovered a lot but he still needs to pass the final test of the medical staff.

Rade Krunic is expected to start in the trequartista role against Roma, having done well there against Celtic. That being said, Calhanoglu is on another level and Stefano Pioli will be glad to have him back soon.
