CM: Milan’s difficult stance on Donnarumma renewal; Real Madrid lurking

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are expected to meet with Mino Raiola soon to discuss the renewal of his client Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to a report.

Donnarumma seemed destined to leave the Rossoneri back in the summer of 2017 when it was revealed by Raiola that his client would not sign a new contract at the club, though he ended up remaining and penning a four-year deal.

Now, speculation has once again turned to Donnarumma’s future with his contract set to expire in 2021, and Calciomercato.com recently reported that the 20-year-old may be forced to leave in order to better his career if Milan’s fortunes do not improve.

According to the same outlet, Mino Raiola will arrive in Milano in the coming weeks and there will be more talk about the renewal of Donnarumma.

The goalkeeper wants a renewal under the same economic conditions (€6million net per year), however Milan are aiming to get him to take a pay cut as he is currently the highest earning player.

Meanwhile, the report adds that LaLiga giants Real Madrid are watching on, and they would likely have no problem matching his requests.
