Davide Calabria was one of the key players for Milan this past season and it’s not exactly a surprise that the Rossoneri want to renew his contract. In fact, talks are underway between the parties, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato.com, Milan have already made their first offer for the right-back: a five-year deal worth €2m per year. Calabria’s current deal will expire in 2022 and Paolo Maldini wants to avoid another Donnarumma-esque situation.
However, the first offer was deemed unsatisfactory by Calabria and his agent as they are asking for a bit more to renew. There will soon be a new meeting between the parties to assess the situation, with the hopes of coming to an understanding.
As mentioned, Calabria was a key player for Milan this past season with 32 appearances in the league, bagging two goals and assisting an additional two. Hopefully, he will renew his deal with the club.

We’ll have problems with renewing expiring contracts with all players. We give them miserable offers , they can easily get double money by many teams.
That’s a good offer for him and we should not over spend. 2.5M max. He’s one dimensional and offers nothing going forward. In the modern game that is a problem if you cannot attack down one wing…def re-sign him but don’t break the bank. He’s a solid backup and good starter but he is not a world beater IMO.
So which worldbeater would take $2m for 5 years? Maldini and ELLIOt should stop this nonsense..this is becoming too stupid, we can not even get deapaul or even buy tonali outright, we are not even ready to pay 35m for a decent player but we want to do well in the league and champions league?? THOSE GUYS ARE JOKERS
That offer is too poor. He has been solid in the defence. If we can get a good right winger then his workload will be more balanced.
Let’s not being ridiculous with offers to players who are passionate about the club.
