CM: Milan’s search for a new playmaker leads them to 25-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are in the market for a new playmaker and have targeted Daichi Kamada of Eintracht Frankfurt, according to a report.

What caught the eye both in the first half against Verona and for almost the entire match against Porto is that Milan struggled a lot in the transition from defence to attack, and Brahim Diaz’s absence plus that of Junior Messias – the only other natural attacking midfielder aside from the inexperienced Daniel Maldini – was very clearly felt. That is why the signing of a new playmaker could be on the cards.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com – who cite sources in Germany – Milan have added a new player to their list of transfer targets in Daichi Kamada. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has a contract expiring in 2023 with Eintracht Frankfurt, and has a market value of €25m according to Transfermarkt.

The Japan international has played 97 games for Eintracht across all competitions and has racked up 16 goals and 24 assists in that time.
