AC Milan are unlikely to move for a central defender despite the links with a couple of Manchester City players, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com writes that Manchester City’s English defender John Stones has been linked with a move to Milan, but it is unlikely that the Rossoneri will be looking for a central defender in the summer transfer market.
Milan already have Fikayo Tomori, Pierre Kalulu, Malick Thiaw, Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia who are capable of playing the centre-back role which means five players are competing for two spots, and at present it doesn’t seem as though an exit is imminent for any of them.
In addition to Stones, it is worth mentioning that The Times claimed Kyle Walker is a target for Milan in view of the summer transfer window, while Relevo stated that Aymeric Laporte is on the Rossoneri’s radar even if he would prefer to join Barcelona.
