AC Milan have interest in a young Anderlecht star who is also being chased by Manchester United, a report claims.
According to Calciomercato, Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli will be on hand at the Belgium-Mexico friendly to view rising star Leander Dendoncker.
The 22-year-old defensive midfielder has already featured in four matches for the Red Devils, and is set to be part of their World Cup squad.
The Anderlecht product has seen his value skyrocket over the last year as a result of a string of impressive performances in the centre of the pitch. In addition to the current role with his club, Dendoncker has the ability to move up the pitch into a more offensive role.
At 1.88m (6’2”) and 67kg (147lbs), the Man Utd target certainly has the height to win aerial duels.
Though he’s unlikely to start the match, Mirabelli will be keen to see him come on as a replacement against Mexico; one of the stronger, and more physical, soccer nations.
