CM: Moncada makes strong call on Terracciano after Torino enquiry – the details

Paulo Fonseca is currently working to evaluate the players that he feels will be useful to his cause at AC Milan, and that has caused some incoming offers to be declined.

Calciomercato.com reports that Fonseca has brought a breath of fresh air to Milanello with new tactical ideas, methodologies, double training sessions and lots of smiles in training. With the Portuguese coach at Milan everyone is starting from scratch.

The past counts, of course, but at the same time there is the desire of the coaching staff to try out everyone, studying their characteristics and personalities to enhance a squad that has quality. Among the players who are demonstrating great application is Filippo Terracciano.

Terracciano moved from Hellas Verona to Milan in January and the 21-year-old seemed to vanish after making a mistake which cost a penalty and two point against Bologna. Now, however, it is time to start again with a new coach who knows how to work with young players.

Several clubs – first and foremost Torino – have asked Milan if they can have the full-back on a season-long long but Geoffrey Moncada gave a negative response without thinking twice. Filippo will remain because the management believe in him a lot, he is useful for the squad lists and is versatile.

Milan made an investment of €4.5m plus €1m in bonuses for the Italy U20 international, snatching him from Verona when Fiorentina, Bologna and Juventus were also interested in the player. With a contract that runs until 2028, Filippo has all the time he needs to work and prove his worth.
