CM: Moncada watching three profiles as Milan ponder full-back investment

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan may already have plenty of right-backs in their squad at the moment, but the management are weighing up potentially signing a new one in the summer.

According to Calciomercato.com, there are some doubts surrounding the five options that Milan have in their squad at present, starting with Alessandro Florenzi who is currently likely to be sold due to his age and high salary.

Filippo Terracciano is seen as more of a wild card who can fill in multiple positions but not starter-level yet, while Alex Jimenez is on loan from Real Madrid who have a buy-back and even the sale of Pierre Kalulu cannot be ruled out.

The source claims that there are several targets in Geoffrey Moncada’s notebook when it comes to players who could arrive from abroad and challenge captain Davide Calabria for that starting spot.

Killian Sildillia of SC Freiburg is a player he continues to follow with interest, while fellow Bundesliga defender Joe Scally of Borussia Monchengladbach is another interesting profile.

Switching to Spain, Arnau Martínez of Girona – who have been one of the surprise stories in Europe this season given they are pushing for the title – is another intriguing name to Moncada.

Calciomercato.com add that whoever arrives will be young, inexpensive and will have the potential to be resold for a profit in the future.
