AC Milan are not currently in negotiations with Fiorentina over a deal for winger Federico Chiesa, according to one journalist.
There has been an abundance of speculation over the last 24 hours suggesting Milan have not yet given up on the idea of signing Chiesa, weeks after they were first linked with a move for the 22-year-old.
SportMediaset (via MilanNews) even reported earlier on Tuesday that Milan have put forward an offer to La Viola for Chiesa, consisting of Lucas Paqueta (valued at €20-25m) plus €20m cash and another €10m bonuses.
Meanwhile, La Nazione journalist Riccardo Galli admitted on Tuesday night that he is ‘scared’ by the interest of the Rossoneri.
However, Calciomercato.com reporter Daniele Longo is reporting on Twitter that for the moment there are no negotiations ongoing between Milan and La Viola for Chiesa.
The Italy international amassed 10 goals and six assists last season in 34 league games in what was a turbulent season for Fiorentina.
